Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1899, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Lower bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt and heavy gouging on the wrist. On the left side of the stock there is heavy gouging at the rear of the butt and mild pressure marks scattered throughout the butt. Mild gouge on the upper edge of the finger groove. Heavy pressure marks behind the rear barrel band and between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is light gouging on the pistol grip.
Receiver has mildly worn finish and mild patina throughout. Heavy surface mark over the serial number. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish. Front barrel band has light surface scratches. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine have lightly worn finish and light patina.
No P stamp noted.
