Swiss W+F Bern 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1905, in Very Good condition with 90% finish. 3/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling, heavy pitting around the crown and muzzle). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished. Bluing was refurbished.
On the right side of the stock there is a large, shallow gouge before the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are long scratches on the butt in front of the sling mount. Handguard has a gouge before the rear barrel band that was filled in and repaired.
Receiver has light edge wear. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and a heavy surface mark on the right side. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish.
P51 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1951.
Includes muzzle cover.
