Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1904, in good condition with 75% original finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 3/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. Bolt knob non-matching serial number.
The pistol grip has a tiger stripe pattern.
On the right side of the stock, there are scuffs and moderate pressure marks on the butt. Directly below the bolt release lever there is a fair pressure mark, and there are several light and mild pressure marks between the bolt release lever and the left side of the finger groove. Mild pressure mark on the upper edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are several light and mild pressure marks around the butt. There are a few light gouges on the grip. Mild and fair pressure marks between the grip and the right side of the finger groove. Around the finger groove there is a heavy gouge just below the bottom edge and a heavy gouge to the left. Mild and fair pressure marks along the forearm up to the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a gouge on the right side of the magazine plate in front of the magazine catch. Fair pressure mark in front of the magazine plate. The comb of the stock is stamped with an armory rack number of 106549. Light pressure marks throughout the handguard.
The receiver has moderate finish wear and heavy patina, as well as multiple surface marks throughout. Heavier finish wear on the left and right sides. Both barrel bands have heavy finish wear and mild tool marks. Fair to moderate finish wear on the magazine plate. Heavy finish wear, light pitting, and surface marks on the trigger guard. Moderate finish wear on the magazine base.
Receiver is P stamped.
Bottom bolt knob is chipped.
