Swiss 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1900, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
On the right side of the stock, there are long, light pressure marks and some scattered light gouging around the butt. Mild pressure mark on the grip. Mild gouge above the right edge of the finger groove. Mild scuffs and fair gouging before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock, there is moderate handling wear between the grip and the right side of the finger groove, with multiple mild pressure marks and scrapes. On the underside of the stock, there is a gouge on the right side of the magazine plate, in front of the magazine catch. Light gouges between the magazine plate and the rear barrel band. The comb of the stock is stamped with an armory rack number of 132779. The handguard has light and mild pressure marks throughout. Light gouge on the left side of the handguard before the rear barrel band.
All bluing has been refurbished. Receiver has light edge wear throughout, but otherwise the bluing is very deep. There are some surface marks on the right side of the receiver. Mild finish wear on the top side of the rear barrel band. Mild to fair edge wear around the front barrel band. Very little finish wear on the magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine. Trigger guard has a few surface marks and the magazine plate has a small spot of deep pitting that has been blued over.
Receiver is P stamped. ·63 stamped, indicating armory refurbishment in 1963.
Top bolt knob is cracked.
