Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers. Includes bayonet.
Upper bolt knob is chipped. Lower bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there are light gouges throughout the butt. On the left side of the stock, there are mild pressure marks throughout the butt. On the underside, there is al ight gouge in front of the rear sling mount. Heavy gouge at the receiver tang.
Receiver finish is lightly worn and has mild patina throughout. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate has mild finish wear. Trigger guard has mild finish wear, heavy pitting, and heavy patina.
Receiver is P10 stamped, indicating privatization in 1910.
Includes matching serial number model 1889 bayonet, manufactured by Maschinenfabrik Bern, with scabbard. Blade has light pitting throughout. Light pitting on the base of the pommel. Scabbard has mild to heavy finish wear, mild patina throughout, and some small spots of heavy pitting.
