Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked. Bolt knobs are able to spin freely.
Handguard is chipped on the right side in two places: in front of the ferrule and in front of the rear barrel band.
Stock is chipped on the left side at the toe, behind the butt plate.
On the right side of the stock there is heavy gouging forward of the wrist, above the magazine cut-off lever. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges rear of the wrist. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a threaded hole on the butt behind the sling mount. Heavy gouge on the wrist to the right of the trigger guard. Light gouging at the rear of the comb. Handguard has a mild gouge before the rear barrel band. Long, thin pressure mark behind the rear barrel band. Heavy pressure mark halfway between the barrel bands. Light gouge before the front barrel band.
Receiver finish is mildly worn and has heavy patina throughout. Both barrel bands have heavily worn finish. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light pitting. Magazine has mild to heavy finish wear.
