Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark on the butt near the comb. Light gouging and a heavy pressure mark on the wrist. On the left side of the stock there is a mild gouge at the rear of the butt. Light gouging near the bottom of the wrist. Light gouge behind the front barrel band. Light gouging on the top of the wrist at the receiver tang. On the handguard, there is a heavy gouge behind the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light to mild patina. Both barrel bands have mildly worn finish and mild patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has heavily worn finish.
Receiver is P23 stamped, indicating privatization in 1923.
Includes leather sling.
