Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked.
On the right side of the stock, there is a heavy pressure mark at the rear of the butt below the comb. Light gouging around the edges of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are heavy pressure marks above the finger groove and a light gouge in front of the finger groove. Heavy pressure marks between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock, there is a large pressure mark and four small holes behind the magazine where some sort of badge may have been previously installed. There is another smaller round pressure mark and small hole in front of the magazine plate. Small chip at the receiver tang. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is lightly worn and has light edge wear throughout. Light surface marks throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have light to mild finish wear. Trigger guard has light pitting.
Receiver is P09 stamped, indicating privatization in 1909.
