Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in good condition with 80% finish. 2/5 Bore (bright bore, heavy pitting throughout). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Light gouges throughout the right side of the butt. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the comb. Heavy pressure marks between the barrel bands. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the butt at the toe. Handguard has heavy pressure marks between the barrel bands and a light gouge on the right side near the woodline.
Receiver has light edge wear and mild patina throughout. Both barrel bands have mildly worn finish and mild patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has heavy patina.
Receiver is P29 stamped, indicating privatization in 1929.
