Product Description
Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in good condition with 80% finish. 3/5 Bore (bright bore, but spots of heavy pitting at the start of the rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked and chipped.
On the right side of the stock, there are a pair of mild pressure marks at the forward end of the butt. Light gouge at the rear of the finger groove. Heavy gouge between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges forward of the wrist. Light gouging behind the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are mild gouges on the wrist.
Receiver has light pitting throughout. Rear barrel band has light pitting and mild patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has light to mild pitting.
Receiver is P09 stamped, indicating privatization in 1909.
