Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1891, in good condition with 75% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
The ring of the cocking piece was repaired.
Stock has tiger striping on the right side throughout the forearm and in some scattered areas on the left side.
On the right side of the stock, there is a long running scratch along the forearm between the barrel bands, below the woodline. "LS" carved into the stock just before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a light gouge on the forward end of the butt. Handguard has heavy pressure marks around the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is heavily worn. Both barrel bands have mild finish wear. Magazine plate and trigger guard have heavy finish wear. Magazine has mild finish wear.
Receiver is P24 stamped, indicating privatization in 1924.
