Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1896, in very good condition with 90% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
On the right side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks toward the forward end of the butt. Light gouging around the finger groove. Mild gouge between the barrel bands. On the left side of the stock there is a light gouge on the butt at the heel. Heavy gouging toward the underside of the butt. Mild pressure marks around the rear barrel band. Mild pressure mark about halfway between the barrel bands. On the underside there is a light gouge in front of the magazine plate.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light edge wear throughout. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish and spots of heavy pitting. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish.
Receiver is P34 stamped, indicating privatization in 1934.
