Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in very good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are chipped.
Stock has tiger striping throughout.
On the right side of he stock there is a mild gouge on the butt near the rear of the comb. On the left side of the stock there is a small, mild gouge on the butt near the heel. Light gouging before the rear barrel band and heavy pressure marks in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a light gouge in front of the magazine plate. Mild gouge on the top of the wrist at the receiver tang.
Receiver has mild to heavy finish wear. Rear barrel band is almost in the white. Front barrel band has heavily worn finish. Magazine plate has heavily worn finish at the wrist. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish. Magazine has heavily worn finish.
Receiver is P23 stamped, indicating privatization in 1923.
