Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Stock has light tiger striping along the underside.
On the right side of the stock there are light gouges throughout the butt. Scratch behind the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are light gouges on the butt toward the bottom. Five small gouges on the wrist. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the wrist. Light gouge between the magazine plate and rear barrel band. Heavy pressure mark near the center of the comb. Handguard has light gouging between the barrel bands.
All bluing was previously refurbished.
Receiver has lightly worn finish, light patina, and light surface marks. Both barrel bands have mildly worn finish. Trigger guard has light patina and light edge wear. Magazine has light to mild finish wear, and patina on the right side.
Receiver is P24 stamped, indicating privatization in 1924.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
