Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in very good condition with 85% finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished. Handguard has well defined tiger striping throughout.
On the right side of the stock there is a mild pressure mark above the magazine cut-off. On the left side of the stock there is a mild pressure mark near the center of the comb. The heel of the butt has been sanded so heavily that the butt plate sits proud.
Receiver finish is lightly worn and has light edge wear throughout. Both barrel bands have mildly worn finish and mild patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has light patina. Light edge wear around the trigger guard.
Receiver is P18 stamped, indicating privatization in 1918.
