Swiss 1889 Infantry rifle, produced in 1892, in good condition with 85% finish. 2/5 Bore (dull bore, heavy pitting). 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked and chipped.
Stock is chipped on the right side at the heel.
Stock has a pair of holes drilled into the rear of the butt below the comb on both sides.
On the right side of the stock, there is a mild gouge at the forward end of the butt. Light gouging and mild pressure marks before the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is light gouging at the forward end of the butt, rear of the wrist. Scratch over the finger groove. Light gouging around the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the wrist. Light gouging around the rear barrel band. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark at the rear.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and mild patina. Light to mild pitting at the rear of the receiver. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate, trigger guard, and magazine has heavy pitting.
