Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1896, in good condition with 80% finish. 2/5 Bore (heavily worn rifling, heavy pitting). 3/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers. Includes matching bayonet.
Upper bolt knob is cracked and spins freely.
On the right side of the stock there are scratches at the forward end of the butt, before the wrist. Light gouging before the front barrel band. On the left side of the stock there is a light gouge on the butt near the center of the comb. Light gouging and mild pressure marks on the wrist. Scratches between the wrist and the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there are mild pressure marks in front of the magazine plate. Heavy gouging on the top of the wrist Handguard has light gouging before the rear barrel band, mild gouging halfway between the barrel bands, and mild gouging before the front barrel band.
Receiver had mildly worn finish. Heavy pitting at the rear of the receiver. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish and light pitting. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate has light pitting. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish, light patina, and light pitting. Magazine has light to mild finish wear and pitting throughout.

Includes matching model 1899 bayonet, produced by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, with scabbard.
Guard has heavy surface marks. Both walnut grips were previously sanded and has remnants of light gouging. Pommel has light pitting.
Scabbard has lightly worn finish and light to mild pitting. Large dent on the right side.
