Antique Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in Good condition with 80% finish. 3/5 Bore (mildly worn rifling). 2/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers except for the bolt (s/n 7648).
Both bolt knobs are cracked and chipped.
On the right side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark at the rear of the butt. Severe gouge before the finger groove and light gouging on the upper edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks on the butt. Light gouging on the wrist. Light gouge above the finger groove. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy gouge on the butt near the sling mount. Large, shallow pressure marks, light gouging, and white paint in front of the magazine plate. On the top of the stock there is a light gouge and heavy pressure marks at the rear of the comb. Heavy pressure mark at the forward end of the comb. Handguard has mild to heavy gouging and heavy pressure marks between the ferrule and rear barrel band and a mild gouge before the front barrel band.
Receiver has heavily worn finish. Both barrel bands have mildly worn finish. Magazine plate has mildly worn finish. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish and mild pitting.
No P stamp noted.
