Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in fair condition with 90% finish. 1/5 Bore (dark bore, heavy pitting throughout). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Firing pin ring is cracked.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished. Stock has tiger striping.
Handguard has a 4” crack at the forward end that was repaired with glue from the underside.
On the right side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark on the rear of the butt. Light gouging around the finger groove. On the left side of the stock there is a mild pressure mark around the center of the butt.
Finish was previously refurbished.
Receiver has lightly worn finish. Front barrel band has lightly worn finish. Trigger guard has light edge wear.
P21 stamped receiver, indicating privatization in 1921.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
