Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1896, in very good condition with 85% finish. 4/5 Bore (light pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
On the right side of the stock there is a mild pressure mark inside the finger groove and a light gouge forward of the finger groove at the woodline. On the left side of the stock there is a small, deep gouge forward of the wrist. On the underside of the stock there are light gouges on the wrist. Handguard has light gouging on the top and left sides near the ferrule. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish and light pitting. Both barrel bands have lightly worn finish. Magazine plate has light to mild finish wear in front of the trigger guard. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish, light patina, and light pitting. Magazine has edge wear and mild patina.
