Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1891, in good condition with 75% finish. 4/5 Bore (lightly worn rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked and chipped.
Furniture has a dark stain applied. Stock has tiger striping.
On the left side of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark at the rear of the butt. Mild pressure mark before the finger groove, above the magazine. On the underside of the stock there is a mild pressure mark on the butt before the sling mount. Heavy pressure and mild gouge halfway between the magazine plate and rear barrel band. Light gouging before the front barrel band. Handguard has a heavy pressure mark in front of the rear barrel band.
Receiver has lightly worn finish, light to mild patina, and light surface marks. Rear barrel band is in the white. Front barrel band has mildly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate has mild to heavy finish wear at the wrist. Trigger guard has heavily worn finish. Magazine has heavy edge wear and the underside is approaching white.
