Swiss W+F Bern 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1891, in very good condition with 80% finish. 4/5 Bore (light pitting). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Furniture had a gloss finish applied.
On the right side of the stock there is light gouging on the butt. Light gouging above the magazine. and around the finger groove. Light gouging in front of the rear barrel band. Ono the left side of the stock there are heavy pressure marks on the rear of the butt near the heel. Light gouging on the butt. Light gouging before the rear barrel band. Heavy gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock there is a heavy pressure mark on the butt. Light gouging in front of the magazine plate. Light gouging halfway between the barrel bands. Heavy pressure marks on the butt near the rear of the comb. Handguard has light gouging around the rear barrel band.
Receiver has heavily worn finish and light surface marks. Rear barrel band has heavily worn finish. Front barrel band has mildly worn finish and light patina. Magazine plate is in the white. Trigger guard has lightly worn finish and light surface marks. Magazine has heavily worn finish.
Receiver is P A 11 stamped. We are unaware of the significance of the "A" stamp.
Includes muzzle cover and leather sling.
