Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 80% finish. 3/5 Bore (mild pitting throughout). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Top bolt knob is chipped. Lower bolt knob is cracked and chipped, and had been sanded down.
On the right side of the stock, there is a light gouge near the comb. Light gouging around the rear edge of the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are light gouges near the underside of the grip. Repaired crack on the grip. Light gouge forward of the grip, above the trigger guard. Heavy gouge behind the rear barrel band. Small hole from insect damage behind the front barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there are multiple light gouges at the butt. Multiple mild pressure marks in front of the magazine plate. Light gouging throughout the comb. Handguard has a light gouge and mild pressure marks between the barrel bands.
Receiver has light to mild finish wear and light pitting throughout. Mild edge wear throughout the receiver. Front barrel band has mild finish wear. Light pitting on the trigger guard. Mild to heavy pitting throughout the magazine.
Receiver is P23 stamped, indicating privatization in 1923.
