Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1892, in very good condition with 90% finish. 4/5 Bore (only detracting factor is a slight yellow tint throughout the bore). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Both bolt knobs are cracked.
Tiger stripe pattern throughout the handguard.
On the left side of the stock, there are heavy pressure marks around the rear of the butt. Light gouging from the grip to the finger groove. Light gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the underside of the stock, there are mild gouges around the trigger guard. Mild gouge at the receiver tang. Handguard has a pair of mild pressure marks and a light gouge between the barrel bands.
Receiver finish is lightly worn. Mild edge wear throughout the receiver. Both barrel bands have light finish wear. Light surface marks on the trigger guard.
Receiver is P19 stamped, indicating privatization in 1919.
