Swiss 1889 Infantry Rifle, produced in 1893, in good condition with 70% finish. 3/5 Bore (spots of heavy pitting at the start of the rifling). 4/5 Stock. All matching serial numbers.
Upper bolt knob is cracked. Lower bolt knob is chipped.
Furniture was previously sanded and refinished.
Light tiger striping in the handguard.
On the underside of the stock, there are remnants of light gouging on the butt and there is a light gouge on the grip next to the magazine plate. Handguard has remnants of a light gouge behind the rear barrel band.
Receiver finish is mildly worn. Mild pitting throughout the receiver. Rear barrel band has heavy finish wear. Front barrel band has mild finish wear and mild patina. Magazine plate and trigger guard has light finish wear and light pitting.
Receiver is P20 stamped, indicating privatization in 1920.
