This Swiss Luger 1906/24 is in excellent condition with 94% original finish. 5/5 Bore. All visible serial numbers matching. Wood grips matching serial numbers. Overall bluing is very dark, with only light finish wear present. The left side of the frame has a very small amount of edge wear on the forward edge of the frame, and a couple small marks at the midpoint above the grip. There is a small mark of bluing wear above the magazine release button. Right sight of the frame has very minimal edge wear on the forward edge. Small amount of edge wear on the trigger guard. Small amount of holster wear at the muzzle. Wood grips are undamaged with good checkering. Leather lanyard loop is attached to the frame's lanyard mount. Receiver is stamped to the left of the trigger plate with the BernerProbe stamp and Colonel Muhlemann's inspection mark. Frame is P stamped. Includes brown leather holster. C&R eligible. Very discreet import engraving.
The model 06/24 was part of the first Swiss Lugers that were completely manufactured by Waffenfabrik Bern for the Swiss Army in 1928. The top of the chamber area is blank and the front toggle link is marked with the small Swiss cross over "WAFFENFABRIK BERN".
This model has the standard 1906/24 features such as a new type toggle with flat, checkered toggle knobs; polished lower safety area, no stock lug and barrel chambered in 7.65mm Luger. Original Swiss checkered walnut grips with smooth border around the edges and left grip slotted for grip safety. Original nickel plated 8rd magazine with wooden base.
