W+F BERN Mannlicher 1893 Cavalry Carbine - sn 7xxx
This Swiss Mannlicher model 1893, produced in 1905, is in very good condition with 90% original finish. 4/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number. The bore is bright but light pitting is present. Furniture is clean but there are various pressure marks/light dents present throughout. A series of dents are found on the left side of the stock at the comb. A small but deep dent is in the handguard, on the left side near the rear sight. There is an armory repair on the butt of the stock at the toe. Handguard has a Swiss military acceptance stamp on the top, in between the rear barrel band and the rear sight. There is a faint Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock, behind the rear sling slot. Receiver finish is very dark, with some edge wear present around the loading slot and at the rear against the bolt handle. Rear barrel band bluing is dark, with some wear on the right side. Front barrel band and front sight also has nice dark bluing, with some bluing wear on the front side. Trigger plate has good bluing, with some edge wear present on the trigger guard. Magazine also has good bluing with edge wear.
