Swiss ZFK 31/43 Sniper Carbine, produced in 1943, in very good condition with 90% original finish. 5/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock. Stock and handguard matching serial numbers. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine matching serial number.
Stock has a long wood grain pattern around the butt as well as some faint tiger striping on the forearm. Furniture has light finish wear but many pressure marks found throughout. The Swiss military acceptance stamp on the right side of the stock is barely visible. On the right side of the stock, there are several light to mild pressure marks around the finger groove and several light pressure marks in front of the finger groove. There is a light gouge at the woodline before the rear barrel band and a light gouge in front of the rear barrel band. On the left side of the stock there are multiple mild pressure marks found around the rear sling mount and several mild pressure marks on the grip. Light scratch found below the comb, rear of the grip. A letter "S" has been carved into the side of the stock, near the cut-out for the optic. Inside the finger groove is a vertical gouge. On the underside of the stock there is some gouging at the toe as well as some adjacent scrapes and pressure marks. On the forearm, in between the end of the magazine plate and the rear barrel band, there are a pair of gouges and a large mild pressure mark. There are a couple of small, light gouges along the comb. The handguard has many pressure marks found throughout, with most of the pressure marks found between the two barrel bands. There is a gouge on the top of the handguard directly adjacent to the ferrule. There are a few light gouges found before the front barrel band.
While there are some light scratches present, the receiver overall has a very solid finish. Light edge wear around the loading slot. The built-in KERN optic has fair to moderate finish wear overall, but the periscope end is in the white. Worn finish on the handguard ferrule. Both barrel bands have light finish wear and light tooling marks. Light finish wear on the front sight. Magazine plate has very light to light finish wear. Trigger guard has edge wear and mild finish wear on the underside. Magazine has very light to light finish wear.
Built-in KERN 2.8x optic exhibits mild cloudiness.

The Karabiner Model 1931 (K31) is a magazine fed, straight pull, bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss Gewehrpatrone 1911 (GP11) that was the standard issue rifle of the Swiss Armed Forces from 1933 through 1958. The K31 was made by Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik Bern, a Swiss federal armory, and is one of the last carbines employed by the Swiss military that is based on the designs by Schmidt and Rubin. The ZFK31/43, along with the ZFK31/42 is a rare sniper carbine variant of the K31, and 2,241 pieces total were produced.
