Swiss Army SIG P49 included with the package is part of the 2nd series, 4th delivery, version B, and in very good condition with 92% original finish. 5/5 Bore. Slide, frame, and barrel matching serial numbers.
Right side of the frame has light edge wear at the forward edge, with light edge wear continuing along the upper edges of the frame to the rear. Very light scuff marks on the upper side of the frame. Light edge wear on the dust cover. Light edge wear on the trigger guard and very light to light edge wear on the top and bottom of the front strap. Light edge wear on the beavertail. Left side of the frame has light edge wear at the forward edge and on the dust cover, with light edge wear continuing along the upper edge to the rear. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Small mark in the finish above the slide stop lever. Two light marks on the frame from the slide stop lever. Expected mark on the frame from safety selector usage. Small mark on the underside at the dust c over. Light finish wear on the underside of the trigger guard and along the front strap.
Underside of the frame at the dust cover has a red/orange sticker for a first year shooting event in canton Jura in 1984.
Slide has minor to very light edge wear along the upper edge on both sides. Holster wear on the front and rear sights. Light finish wear on the right side near the chin.
Frame is P stamped on the left side of the trigger guard.
Includes military leather holster. The integrated spare magazine pouch has "TORRIANI" written in the leather on the back side.. Holster was made in 1957 in Büren an der Aare, Bern, Switzerland.
One of the product photos shows that the pistol's serial number matches the serial number noted in M. Torriani's service book as issued to him in canton Vaud in 1961.
The black wool beret is marked as a size 56. Mr. Torriani's name is written on the inside. The beret device installed is the emblem of the 3rd Border Brigade (FR: Brigade Frontière 3; GER: Grenzbrigade) of Field Army Corps 1.
The kepi's markings signify a captain (Hauptmann).
Standard issue Swiss Army compass includes a leather pouch. Compass' serial number 72796 matches the number noted in the service book.
Swiss Armed Forces ID tag on chain has Mr. Torriani's information as expected.
Binoculars are Kern Aarau 6x24, standard issue. The leather trim on the left tube has an area with heavy wear. Includes leather strap and leather case. Its serial number matches the number noted in the service book.
Three different trouser belts are included: a brown leather belt, a grey elastic belt, and a dress belt.
Everything is packaged within the Swiss Officer's Trunk. The trunk measures 29" x 15.5" x 10.75". Its serial number matches the serial number noted in the service book. M. Torriani's name and address is also found inside a side mounted identification window.
