Swiss Martini target rifle, made by Rudolf Elmer of St. Gallen, in good condition with 80% finish. 5/5 Bore. 2/5 Stock.
Chambered in 7.5x55 (GP11).
Stock has tiger striping on the comb.
The left side of the forearm has a 6" crack at the rear end and a 1" crack at the forward end.
On the right side of the stock, there is light gouging at the rear of the butt. Brass insert on the right side of the stock bears the original owner's information: A Tobler of Herisau (canton Appenzell Ausserrhoden). Light gouging on the wrist. On the left side of the stock, there is a mild pressure mark near the rear of the receiver and a mild gouge on the cheek piece. On the right side of the forearm there are a couple of heavy gouges at the rear end and center, and a heavy pressure mark at the forward end.
Receiver is in the white. The right side of the receiver bears the manufacturer name "Rud. Elmer" and the left side reads "St. Gallen". Light patina on the top of the receiver. Barrel finish is lightly worn. Barrel is stamped on the top side in front of the rear sight with "J. ESCHMANN HERISAU", which is probably the original retailer.
Includes leather sling.
