Swiss Model 1957 bayonet for the Stg57, manufactured by Victoria Schwyz (later Victorinox). Military issue. There are small chips throughout the edge of the blade. Includes scabbard and leather frog.
One of the first series manufactured, before manufacturer stamps were simplified to a single letter (W or V).
Unlike previous Swiss bayonets, the Model 1957 bayonets were numbered separately, rather than when the rifle was issued to the soldier. The soldier's issued M1957 bayonet's serial number is unlikely to match the issued Stgw57 rifle.
