Product Description
Swiss Model 1918 bayonet. Waffenfabrik Neuhausen manufacturer stamp on the ricasso.
Blade has several small chips throughout the edge. Metal has a high polish finish; whatever was applied to the metal for this high polish finish is flaking off on the bottom of the pommel.
No serial number stamped into the crosspiece, either meaning this bayonet was never issued alongside a rifle, or the serialized crosspiece had been replaced. Waffenfabrik Neuhausen manufactured the 1918 bayonet until 1933, so this bayonet could have been issued with a K11 Carbine or early issue K31 Carbine.
Includes steel scabbard and leather frog. Frog was made by H. Hofstetter of Signau (Canton Bern) in 1940.
