Product Description
Swiss model 1914 sawback bayonet, produced by Hans Steimer, Wassen im Emmental, with scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has light surface marks and is stamped 1937. Right side grip has a mild pressure mark. Pommel has light patina.
Scabbard has lightly worn finish.
A wooden insert was placed into the mortise slot but it is easily removed to affix the bayonet onto a rifle.
The 1914 Sawback Bayonet was not a widely issued bayonet, and was only issued to select troops. The serial number indicates that it was issued with a K11 Carbine produced in 1928.
