Product Description
Model 1889 bayonet, blade manufactured by SIG Neuhausen and assembled at Maschinenfabrik Bern. Includes scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has very light pitting throughout. Light handling wear on the handle. Scabbard has light finish wear.
Sattler's stamp is largely illegible, but it was made in Marthalen (Zürich) in 1916.
These bayonets were issued with the Schmidt-Rubin 1889 Infantry Rifle and 1896/11 Infantry Rifle.
The serial number indicates that this bayonet would have been issued with an 1889 Infantry Rifle produced in 1893.
