Original WWII-era Swiss infantry backpack (tornister) dated 1945. The belt pad is stamped by the saddler, made by E. KAUFMANN of Zug.
The outer pocket flap has an area of missing hair on the top right corner and a small area on the left corner. There is a small patch of missing hair on the back, above the belt pad. Behind the main flap, some hair has worn off near the two belt loops. The canvas layer of the main flap has discoloration around the perimeter.
KMV Privat stamp on the canvas of the main compartment, indicating release from military property for private ownership.
