Original WWII-era Swiss infantry backpack (tornister). Backpack was made by saddler A. EGGER of Waldkirch, St. Gallen, Switzerland in 1945
Front pocket of the backpack has small patches of missing hair around the corners. The inside of the backpack is remarkably clean. KMV Privat stamp found on the inner canvas of the front flap.
Round soldier's tag is found attached to the inside of the backpack. The soldier's tag matches the information found on the leather patch on the back side of the backpack, which also indicates that this soldier was a vehicle operator (Motorfahrer)
