Swiss Infantry Briquet Saber Model 1842/52, modeled after the French Infantry Briquette 1817.
Hilt is one-piece brass construction. Blade has mild pitting and heavy patina. Tip is blunted. There is a patch of brazed brass near the ricasso and near the tip. Heavy strike mark near the center of the blade. Blade has a bend near the tip that favors the right side.
Blade is stamped on the ricasso with "AARAU" on the left side and "A. BRAST" on the right side. "A. HOHS" stamped on the top side of the guard. Guard is stamped on the right side with "WILHELM MULLER / 1845". Heavy surface marks on the right side of the handle.
No scabbard included.
