SIG Sauer P230, manufactured in Germany and issued to the Swiss Canton of Vaud for police use. Very good condition with 91% original finish. 5/5 Bore. Frame and slide matching serial numbers.
Left side of the frame has two small marks in the bluing to the left and below the takedown lever. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Edge wear on the area below the decocking lever where it rubs against the frame. Mild edge wear at the tang.
Right edge of the frame has light edge wear along the high area. Light finish wear at the top of the trigger. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Mild edge wear at the tang. The trigger has a few small marks in the bluing.
The flat sides of the slide have a high polished finish, with a matte finish on the other surfaces. The left side has light edge wear at the forward edge and around the muzzle. There is a light scratch below the rear sight dovetail. There are a few small gouges along the lower edge of the slide at the rear. Faint horizontal line of finish wear near the top of the slide.
Right side of the slide has light edge wear at the forward edge near the muzzle. Very light line of finish wear above the polished area of the slide. Light edge wear around the ejection port.
Top of the slide has some light finish wear in front of the rear sight. Front and rear sights have holster wear. A few small marks in the finish at the rear of the slide. Edge wear on the hammer serrations.
The right side of the slide is stamped with the Vaud coat of arms with the letters "SV" within the shield. "SV" is for "Police Sûreté Vaudoise" indicating that this was issued to a Vaud cantonal police officer within their special police unit. Left side of the slide has a German Nitro proof to the left and below the ejection port, in front of the slide serrations.
Chamber is stamped with German Nitro proof, Kiel proof, and proof year code translating to 1979.
Wood grips have good checkering but the wood is dry. The right side grip is exhibiting cracking at the bottom near the backstrap.
Includes factory P230 instruction manual, factory 10m test target with a test date of 30 NOV 1979, and original blue SIG SAUER P230 box.
Modern production; not C&R eligible. Import engraved on the right side of the frame, below the slide.
