SIG P226, manufactured in 1985 to celebrate 125 years of SIG Waffenfabrik, in New In Box condition.
Gold text on the left side of the slide reads "125 Jahre [SIG oval logo] Waffen 1860-1985". Right side of the slide has the modern SIG SAUER logo in gold, along with the model "JP 226". Below is the serial number JP0800, also in gold.
Hammer, slide catch, decocking lever, magazine release, and trigger are gold plated. Beautiful carving on walnut grips.
Pistol is packaged inside a locking presentation case; the display top opens up to reveal the pistol under glass, and a separate key allows you to access the pistol underneath the glass. Key is included. Presentation case has some light, vertical scratching in the wood above above the display latch. There is also some oil transfer from the pistol to the suede lining where the pistol sits. Also includes a tan-colored SIG drawstring bag that fits the presentation case to guard against dust.
Plaque inside the display case reads:
[SIG oval logo]
SIG Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft
Neuhausen am Rheinfall
Modern production; not C&R eligible. Very discreet import engraving.
Note, magazine capacity is over 10 rounds.
Please note, this model originally did not have a serial number engraved on the frame, and the slide's original serial number matches another commemorative model's serial number. To meet ATF requirements, a "B" has been appended to the original serial number and we have laser engraved the serial number onto the bottom of the dust cover. The serial number on the slide and barrel has not been modified.
