Product Description
Danish military contract SIG m/49 in very good condition with 90% original finish. 5/5 Bore. Slide, barrel, and frame matching serial numbers. Bluing is very dark with a polished finish. The left and right sides of the frame has various handling marks in the way of small scratches. The left side of the frame also has some holster wear at the forward edge, as well as a small mark of finish wear on the upper rear of the frame, above the grip. The slide stop has left a rounded mark in the frame, as well as a mark from usage of the safety selector lever. Barrel finish is very good, with some holster wear at the muzzle, light edge wear on the front and rear sights, and a spot of finish wear on the left side near the muzzle. Wood grips have expected handling marks for a military-issue sidearm. Right side grips have slightly heavier wear on the upper right side.
The frame is stamped with "9mm P m/49" and the Danish crown over HTK, indicating that this pistol was manufactured for and issued to HTK, or Haerens Tekniske Korps (Army Technical Corps).
The SIG m/49 is the Danish contract version of the Swiss SIG P49 / P210. Chambered in 9mm, it was issued to officers, military police, and special forces and was the standard sidearm for the Danish military for 60 years.
