SIG Danish Military m/49 FKF - sn 20xxx
Danish military contract SIG m/49 in very good condition with 90% original finish. 5/5 Bore. Both sides of the frame exhibit handling marks, including small scratches in the finish. The right side of the frame has more handling marks compared to the left, with the majority concentrated to the left of the serial number, above the takedown pin. Left side of the frame has some finish wear at the upper rear area, above the grip. Light edge wear at the trigger guard. Finish wear on the underside of the frame at the dust cover. There is a small mark on the left side of the slide, to the left of the slide serrations. Surface scratch and two smaller scratches in front of the rear sight. Muzzle has light edge wear. The front sight is painted yellow. Black plastic grips have good checkering.
Frame is stamped with "9mm P m/49". To the right is a stamp of the Danish crown over FKF, indicating this was manufactured and issued to Forsvarets Krigsmateriel Forvaltning (Defense War Material Administration).
Includes a dark blue box with the Royal Danish Army's coat of arms above the text "SIG P210-DK M/49". The internal foam is deteriorating.
The SIG m/49 is the Danish contract version of the Swiss SIG P49 / P210. Chambered in 9mm, it was issued to officers, military police, and special forces and was the standard sidearm for the Danish military for 60 years.
