Mauser manufactured Luger P08 in very good condition with 80% finish. 3/5 Bore. Bore is dull with mild pitting present. Luger has been reworked/refurbished. Bluing is black in color, with some light pitting found on the frame. The left side of the receiver has what appears to be a small "x" above the serial number. Behind the serial number, you can see the remnants of the previous serial number ending in "57". This "57" matches the barrel's serial number of "3857". Trigger plate The left side of the frame has some scratches in the finish above the grips, Right side of frame has finish wear at the upper forward edge. Edge wear on the trigger guard. Both toggle grips have finish wear on the knurling from handling. Barrel has finish wear at the muzzle and the finish also has a mottled appearance. Round tooling marks on the frame, below the takedown lever. Finish wear at the muzzle. Brown plastic grips are not original to this Luger. Frame has stock lug.
Serialized parts are matching serial numbers, with the following exceptions:
- Extractor is non-serialized
- Firing pin originally stamped "46"; it has been electopenciled with "61"
- Toggle pin is stamped "70"
- Barrel is non-matching, with serial "3857"
- Trigger bar is electropenciled with "61"
Left side of the frame lacks the "P.08" stamp that is normally found to the left of the safety selector. Top of the receiver is stamped with two digit year "41". Top of toggle is stamped with Mauser "byf" code and serial "61". The right side of the frame has two WaffenAmt stamps of an eagle over 655, as well as the eagle over swastika test fire proof. Eagle over swastika proof is also on the right side of the barrel, near the receiver.
Magazine with blued body and aluminum base. The base matches serial number. The magazine body does not have any Nazi Waffenamt stamps on it and is only stamped with "2/1001" on the side, which is a manufacture mark from V.E.B. Ernst Thälmann.
