This is a pieced-part Luger P08 with frame serial number 4412 C.

The barrel, receiver, toggle, toggle link, and extractor do not match the frame, but all match each other with s/n 7142. Toggle is byf stamped with chamber date of 41.
On the right side of the frame, there is light finish wear and light surface marks along the high area. Light to mild pitting on the trigger. On the left side of the frame, there is light edge wear and light surface marks throughout. The GESICHERT text had been previously filled with red paint. The side plate has a stamp of a crown over D. Mild edge wear on the trigger guard. Heavy finish wear on the backstrap and front strap.
Light to mild surface marks on the right side of the receiver in front of the toggle knob. Light scratches on the barrel. Left side of the receiver has light edge wear and surface marks throughout. Light finish wear around the muzzle. Toggle has lightly worn finish.
German eagle over 555 and Nazi test fire proof stamp on the receiver. Test fire proof stamped on the barrel. On the underside of the barrel, 8,82 is stamped below the serial number. Nazi test fire proof stamped on the toggle.
Includes brown leather open holster, the type used by paratroopers / Fallschirmjäger. Star design on the retention strap button. Built-in spare magazine pouch. No maker stamp nor any other stamps found. While the holster appears to be vintage, we are unable to confirm if this is an original or reproduction holster.
