Product Description
Swiss model 1914 sawback bayonet, produced by Hans Steimer, Wasen im Emmental, with scabbard and leather frog.
Blade has light surface marks, with heavy surface marks toward the tip. Crossguard has light patina. Pommel has light to mild patina.
Scabbard has mildly worn finish and light patina. Leather frog was made by FR. Cauler of Langnau (Bern) in 1900.
The 1914 Sawback Bayonet was not a widely issued bayonet, and was only issued to select troops. The serial number indicates that it was issued with a K11 Carbine produced in 1915.
