Product Description
Steel scabbard complete with 99% Original Finish, slight depression at the tip of the scabbard. Excellent condition leather frog from 1940, small crack on the leather hanger. Minor frosting on the Hilt. Beautiful wood panels on grip. Scabbard markings on the Blade. 5/5
This bayonet is not to be mistaken with the model 1906 which was released earlier; it was designed and issued to select troops, mainly to engineer corps, mountain infantry and artillery. Two types of frog were manufactured: steel or leather (rare). It is possible to come across some models where metallic parts were chromed by private companies but authorized by military authorities.
