Product Description
Steel Scabbard complete with 98% Original Finish. Excellent condition leather frog from 1952. Minor frosting on the grip with beautiful walnut panels. Scabbard marks on the blade. 5/5
This bayonet is not to be mistaken with the model 1906 which was released earlier; it was designed and issued to select troops, mainly to engineer corps, mountain infantry and artillery. Two types of frog were manufactured: steel or leather (rare). It is possible to come across some models where metallic parts were chromed by private companies but authorized by military authorities.
