Model 1899 Bayonet, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen. Includes scabbard, no leather frog.
Blade is in excellent condition. Very light impact marks on the bottom of the scabbard.
These bayonets were issued with the Schmidt-Rubin 1896/11 Infantry Rifle, 1911 Infantry Rifle, and the K11 Carbine.
The serial number indicates that this bayonet could have been issued with either an 1896/11 Infantry Rifle produced in 1897 or a K11 Carbine produced in 1933, but the muzzle ring diameter of 15mm indicates that this was issued with an 1896/11 Infantry Rifle in 1897.
