Fabrica de Armas La Coruna experimental model M43 Mauser for the Spanish Air Force, an extremely rare transitional model that led to the M44. Estimated to have been produced in 1953, number 12 of an unknown total. Excellent condition with 95% finish. 5/5 Bore. 5/5 Stock. Stock and handguard are non-serialized. Bolt matching serial number. Magazine and floor plate matching serial numbers.
On the right side of the stock, there are very light pressure marks on the rear half of the stock. Light pressure marks around the finger groove. On the left side of the stock, there are small, mild pressure marks on the grip. Light pressure marks at the woodline below the receiver's serial number. Before the rear barrel band there are a pair of heavy pressure marks and a few mild pressure marks. On the underside of the stock, there are light pressure marks scattered throughout. There are a couple of mild pressure marks forward of the magazine, and a light gouge before the rear barrel band.
Receiver bluing is very solid. Very little edge wear around the ejection port. Bolt and charging handle are in the white. Light edge wear on the rear of the bolt release. Both barrel bands have light surface marks on the top side. Light edge wear around the front sight and compensator. Light edge wear on the trigger guard. Light surface scratches on the front edge of the magazine base plate.
Non-hooded front sight. Experimental muzzle break threaded onto the barrel. La Coruna manufacturer stamp on the chamber. Rear tangent sight has a fine micrometric adjustment.
The comb of the stock is stamped with an encircled number 2. A Maltese Cross is found stamped on the stock at the comb and the underside of the stock, and on the bolt handle.
Includes leather sling. Sling has a Waffenamt stamp "WaA 170".
