French MAS-36 rifle, manufactured in 1945, in very good condition with 85% finish. 3/5 Bore. 4/5 Stock.
Rifle was converted from its original configuration into a CR36 "Paratrooper" model. 18" barrel. Barrel is stamped "MAT 1945".
Non-matching serial numbers: Bolt: FH4166. Trigger guard: F5991. Floor plate: FH7799.
On the right side of the forend and handguard there are multiple light gouges around the finger groove. On the left side of the forend there is a light gouge below the finger groove. Heavy pressure mark at the woodline above the finger groove. Handguard has a light gouge on the top side in front of the rear barrel band.
Parkerized finish. Receiver has multiple blemishes in the finish, including large areas of heavy finish wear from contact with the folding aluminum stock. Light finish wear on the barrel around the muzzle.
Aluminum folding stock is installed. Surface scuffs throughout. Stock is able to properly lock and release from the receiver. Roll-up sling mechanism and leather sling in good working order.
Bolt plug is the updated variant with the anti-rotation stop. Updated trigger. Front barrel band, floor plate, follower, and the rear sight are post-war variants. Trigger guard is the pre-war milled variant.
Includes cruciform spike bayonet. Bayonet has heavy patina throughout. Bayonet measures 14 3/4" overall length; the spike is 10 7/8" in length.
