Product Description
Fabrique Nationale Model 1946, also known as the Browning Hi Power, is in very good condition with 93% finish. 5/5 Bore. Slide is stamped with "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE" "HERSTAL BELGIQUE" "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". Frame is marked with model name "M.1946", the serial number, and a crown over "HV" indicating that this is a Danish Military pistol - HV, or "Haerens Vabenarsenal" translates to Army Weapons Arsenal / Royal Danish Arsenal.
Frame and slide have been refinished and is Parkerized. The underlying metal has surface marks that have been covered by the Parkerizing. The refinish has very light finish wear, mostly limited to the very top of the slide serrations on the left side. There are a few light handling marks visible in the finish. Walnut grips have light handling wear with good checkering. Possibly attributed to the refinishing, magazine fitment is tight. The trigger has a "gritty" feeling trigger pull caused by a small burr on the trigger and frame inside the trigger well. The inside of the slide is stamped with "Hämmerli". The barrel is also stamped with "Hämmerli" on the top of the chamber. C&R Eligible. Very discreet import engraving.
Please note the magazine capacity is over 10 rounds. Some jurisdictions have 10 round magazine capacity limits. C&R status is not exempt from these limits.
